Shopping/Donation Volunteer - Requires background check
Occasionally, a family may need to make an appointment to shop at the LOCC facility because our office hours do not fit their needs. LOCC needs a group of volunteers that it can reach out to to assist these families when available. Shopping/Donation Volunteers are coordinated by the LOCC Volunteer Coordinator who will send a group text to all Shopping/Donation Volunteers to determine availability for the family's scheduled appointment.
-
If you are available, you will assist families at the LOCC facility
-
Help families with obtaining needed items
-
Communicate additional items the family requires that LOCC did not have in inventory
-
Occasionally, a donation may be scheduled outside of our normal office hours. The LOCC Volunteer Coordinator will send a group text to all Shopping/Donation Volunteers to determine availability to receive the donation at the LOCC facility.

If you are available you will unlock the LOCC facility and facilitate storage of the donated items in a designated location within the LOCC facility.

Workday Volunteers
These volunteers provide one-time assistance for scheduled activities and events that are too large for our routine volunteers to perform. Workday Volunteers may volunteer for one or more of these activities/events. The LOCC Volunteer Coordinator will communicate upcoming needs to Workday Volunteers to establish an adequate number of volunteers to accomplish that activity/event goal.

Assist with larger projects such as LOCC events, sorting and organizing donations, maintenance/upkeep of property, and more.
